Last Few Weeks
The last few weeks of school are always hectic and full. Here are some of the latest pics from jewelry class. We have been experimenting with various methods to add texture to metal. Whether the texture was created with hammers, concrete, manhole covers or asphalt, we have it covered! The copper circles below are washers you can purchase at your local hardware store.

More Art!
One of our hours (3rd hour to be exact) is particularly interesting in that we have three different classes meeting. In this hour we create Jewelry, Sculpture and one lucky student has Creative Studio. The Creative Studio student is working on her interpretations of Van Gogh's "Starry Starry Night". Pictures to follow on a later date for that project! In Sculpture we actually created some birds out of clay as did the Ceramics II course. Jewelry class has been making beads out of clay for bracelets. The clay beads are going through the firing process as I type this and the students cannot wait to glaze them! Our next Jewelry projects falls under the realm of "wearable art". We will be making scarves out of t-shirts and adorning them with objects that are specific to the creator.
100 Hundred Days of Dragons
All of the classes have donated a little of their time to color dragons in celebration of 100 days of school. Yes, our 100th day was a week ago and we are a little behind. Below are a few of our dragons.
